All Welcome!

Worship at Our Redeemer

Worship is the most involved element of our work as a church. We come to worship not in order to give to God, but to receive from him the message of salvation. Even in our offerings, prayers, and praise, the Lord is giving to us in his grace.
The services are traditional, organ or piano led, and ask for participation of the congregation. In this way, we join our voices together to glorify our Heavenly Father and his Son, through whom we have peace.

Bible Study

Bible Study is critical to the Christian life. If you are interested in learning more about the Bible, or about what we teach concerning the Bible, call or text 708-522-4809 or email pastor.ourredeemergp@gmail.com.

About Us

We began worshiping as a congregation over 60 years ago in Grant Park. Through that time, the congregation has changed. Like most churches, our membership has gone down and our average age has gone up. This is not a discouragement, though, because we serve the Lord of the harvest who promises that "wherever two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am with them" (Matt 18:20).
We are a member congregation of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod. We also have a sister church with whom we share a pastor: Glory to God Lutheran Church in Tinley Park, Illinois.

What We Believe

This is a very short summary of our major beliefs. For more information, contact our pastor.

The Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God.
The only true God is the Triune God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Adam and Eve were real people created perfect by God. Their sin affected the whole world, making all people sinful and in need of a Savior.
The Father, in his love, sent his Son, Jesus, to take on flesh and bear the burdens of the sins of the world. Through him, all people are forgiven.
The only path to new life, salvation, and forgiveness of sins is through faith in Jesus Christ as Lord. Jesus' death and resurrection is the foundation for all our hopes.
